Who is a Paediatric Medical Assistant?
Paediatric medical assistants work with paediatricians providing care to infants, children and teens under the age of 18. They are expected to assist the healthcare providers in a paediatric facility. Their duties include both patient care support and administrative roles. Some of the duties of a Paediatric Medical Assistant includes, creating a supportive environment for patients and their parents/guardians, updating medical records and patient information, scheduling appointments and providing information regarding follow-ups, diagnostic tests, etc. record patients’ vital information and administer vaccine, assist paediatric professionals to treat and care young patients, and much more duties that ensure the smooth functioning of a paediatric medical office.
